Not really a mockery of Nike, just kind of an expression of the way people grow up in urban areas. In Philadelphia, basketball is a huge sport, mainly because every ten blocks you can find a playground with a court or half-court. I threw Nike stuff in there because they're posers, providing these little dreams to young urban kids, showing them their favorite stars in their shoes and telling them it will make them a star too.

OK, so I guess it is a sort of mockery of Nike.
